Judy Hoad

Judy Hoad has more than 25 years experience in Calgary municipal issues and has built a solid reputation in public consultation, issue management and strategic communications. Her career has included leadership roles in community development, stakeholder relations, political strategy and public policy development and implementation.

Judy joins Global from NATIONAL Public Relations, Canada’s largest public relations firm.

Judy spent 14 years with The City of Calgary, serving in a variety of roles including Manager of Communications in the Office of the City Manager, Manager of Public Engagement, Administration Liaison for the Office of the Mayor and Executive Director of Calgary Police Commission. She also served as Director of Human Resources and Stakeholder Relations - Communications for the Alberta Electric System Operator. Judy’s political experience includes serving as Alderman and Regional Councillor in Kitchener, Ontario in the early 1980s. In addition to her professional experience, Judy has been an active volunteer leader in a number of organizations.

Judy holds an MA in Public Policy, Law and Administration from the University of Calgary, a BA in Mathematics from the University of Toronto, Certificates in Conflict Resolution and Public Relations from Mount Royal College and an Alberta Government certificate in Not-for-Profit Board Governance.
