Jarett Lalonde is a Director in Global’s Ottawa office with a varied public affairs practice that includes private sector clients, governments, and non-profit organizations. He is a key member of the Natural Resource and Environment practice group where he provides policy analysis and strategic advice on issues associated with upstream petroleum production, liquified natural gas projects, energy transmission, renewable energy generation, climate change, environmental regulation and First Nations issues. He is also a key member of the cannabisCONNECT team where he provides insights and strategic counsel with respect to Canadian legislation and regulation to established and scale-up companies in the global cannabis sector.
Jarett joined Global Public Affairs from the Government of British Columbia after having worked in the Office of the Minister of Natural Gas Development where he provided political advice on a variety of energy and environmental issues. More recently, Jarett served as the Chief of Staff to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General where he oversaw the implementation of the Liquor Policy Review, a number of technology-driven justice reform initiatives, and the government’s response to landmark First Nations court cases. He has also worked at the federal level in the Office of the Minister of Natural Resources Canada where he provided advice on energy, mining, and forestry issues.
Jarett sits on Global’s Business Continuity Plan Committee and holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Public Administration from the University of Ottawa.
