Gil Barrows draws on more than 20 years’ experience in government affairs to provide a wide range of policy analysis and strategic advice to clients. He specializes in the agri-business, food, consumer products, life sciences and health product sectors, and advises clients on domestic and international strategies
In addition to his consulting experience, Gil has worked as a trade association executive and has been a senior advisor in both the U.S. branch of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada and the Consumer Products branch of the former Consumer and Corporate Affairs Canada. Gil has assisted a range of clients including primary agricultural producers, food manufacturers, biotechnology product manufacturers and users, pharmaceutical and life science companies, as well the retail sector. He has experience in issues management for coalitions on matters of public controversy, international trade policy and negotiations and specific product approvals.
Gil holds a Bachelor of Journalism (Hon) from Carleton University.
