Climate Change Insights
On November 30, tens of thousands of delegates and climate change advocates will descend on Paris for the 21st Conference of the Parties (COP21) under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). The aim of the session will be to sign a binding climate change agreement that would succeed the Kyoto Protocol in 2020.
After a series of lackluster COPs over the last couple of years, momentum has built for the Paris negotiations. At stake is the next generation of a climate change agreement to drive global – and Canada’s – action on GHG reductions into the next decade and beyond.
For the duration of the conference, Global Public Affairs will be tracking the conversation and developments in Paris. Please check back for often for our insights.
